1) Write on:
“We should ponder and weigh each instance carefully. We shall want to hold ourselves to the course of admitting the things we have done, meanwhile forgiving the wrongs done us, real or fancied. We should avoid extreme judgements, both of ourselves and of others involved. We must not exaggerate our defects or theirs.”
a) Are you doing Step 8?
b) If not, why not? Explain.
c) If you are, are you avoiding extreme judgements?
d) Are you exaggerating your own mistakes, or theirs?
2) Write on the last paragraph, page 82:
“Whenever our pencil falters, we can fortify and cheer ourselves by remembering what A.A. experience in this Step has meant to others.
It is the beginning of the end of isolation from our fellows and from God.
3) Continue to write out your cards and their contact info. Face to face is the best way, if not, phone, if not letter, if not e-mail.
If they don’t want to see you, stop.
If they don’t answer your phone call , try one more time.
