This just isn’t so. In some cases the wife will never come back for one reason or another. Remind the prospect that his recovery is not dependent upon people It is dependent on his relationship with God. We have seen men get well whose families have not returned at all. We have seen others slip when the family came back too soon. Both you and the new man must walk day by day in the path of spiritual progress. If you persist, remarkable things will happen. When we look back, we realize that the things which came to us when we put ourselves in God’s hands were better than anything we could have planned. Follow the dictates of a Higher Power and you will presently live in a new and wonderful world, no matter what your present circumstances! Soul work Acronym for YET - Your Eligible Truth Look up: persist, dictates Q1.If you are talking about the problem you cannot possibly be talking about the solution. Are you a solution person or do you like to go on and on about the problem? Q2. Do you think you are dependent on people for your sobriety? Q3. The Big Book says my sobriety is dependent on my relationship with God. a) Do I believe that? b) Do I live that? c) Do my actions reflect what I say I believe. Q4. Are you skipping on your Quiet Time? Q5. Do you think in terms of a) I have to……[fill in the blank] …. to stay sober? b) If I don’t do……. [fill in the blank]…I cannot stay sober.? Follow the dictates of a Higher Power and you will presently live in a new and wonderful world, no matter what your present circumstances! Q6. Is your sobriety and your life, dependent on listening God? Are you making actions plans, following through on them and having accountability? Q7. What is your experience of leaving meetings? Why did you leave? Were they breaking the traditions? Did you bring it to a business meeting? Did you try to bring what you could to the meeting? Q8. Ask yourself: am I walking day by day in the path of spiritual progress? If the answer is ‘yes’, ask: how can I improve? If ‘no,’ ask: what do I need to do differently? Both you and the new man must walk day by day in the path of spiritual progress. If you persist, remarkable things will happen. Q9. Are you living this today? When we look back, we realize that the things which came to us when we put ourselves in God’s hands were better than anything we could have planned. Q10. Are things better today than what you planned when you first came into recovery? Q11. Is my goal intimacy - first with God and then with others? Q12. Rejection is God’s way of protection. Write on this. Ends
