What is God saying to you? Where do you think your path is? In all humility accepting where you are today, moving towards what God wants you to be, where do you think God is is leading you? [Maybe one of you is saying: I have always wanted to learn to ski and been afraid. Or: I really want to take a trip to Switzerland, but always put it off. This is a lack of humility and is not accepting who you are today and being willing to walk where God wants you to walk. And it is Quiet Time and Action Plan. Quiet Time and Action.] ‘In all these strivings, so many of them well-intentioned, our crippling handicap had been our lack of humility. We had lacked perspective to see that character-building and spiritual values had to come first, and that material satisfactions were not the purpose of living. Quite characteristically, we had gone all out in confusing the ends with the means. Instead of regarding the satisfaction of our material desires as the means by which we could live and function as human beings, we had taken these satisfactions to be the final end and aim of life.’ Q2. Write on these four sentences. What is your perspective? Are you lacking humility because you don’t think you are paid enough? Or you are dissatisfied with the job and are only staying for the money? What do you think about character building? Is it important to you? Are spiritual values important to you and why? Do they come because you are afraid or because they are in your heart? Q3. New slogan: Bless them and change me. Write on this. What does it mean in relation to humility and the perspective of you doing character building and caring about spiritual values? ‘We never thought of making honesty, tolerance, and true love of man and God the daily basis of living.’ Q4 What is your aim in life? ‘True, most of us thought good character was desirable, but obviously good character was something one needed to get on with the business of being self-satisfied.’ Q5. What happens when addicts, we ourselves, live for being self-satisfied? Q6 If we used a proper display of (100%) honesty and morality (values) we’d stand a better chance of getting what we really want. Where are you on the spectrum? Q7. What do you need to tell your accountability partner? [Text or e-mail me what you need to bring to your accountability: [email protected] Totally confidential. Not telling you you have to, would like you to.]
