Workshop writing: Do you take your disease deadly serious and yet be humble and laugh at yourself? Or do you beat yourself up? 2. Regarding your powerlessness, do you "get it?" 3. "-this utter inability to leave it alone no matter how great the necessity or the wish." Write your own experience of the baffling feature of alcoholism as it is played out in your own life. 4. Do you think it would be wise for you to go out and try drinking again to see if you are an alcoholic? If your partner or child comes to you saying "I don't know if I'm an alcoholic," would you tell them to go out and try some controlled drinking? What would you do in that situation a) with yourself and b) with a loved one? 5. What sort of thinking dominates an alcoholic who repeats time after time drinking again? 6. Why does he walk into a bar? Why did you? What were you thinking? 7. In sharing about your experiences with addictions, are you vague? END
